Since college, Kris and I have maintained a date night every Friday night unless of course he had to work. Since Emeline has been home, we have toted her around with us to every date night. Now Emeline is getting older, bedtime is getting earlier and it's no longer easy to just pack up and take her out to dinner. This Friday, we ordered pizza, watched movies and just had a sweet family night in. Sometimes all you need on a Friday night is pizza, wine and a little snuggle time all in the comfort of your own home.
Today, I'm thankful that my husband is home on Friday nights and every Saturday and Sunday so we can enjoy our weekends not only with each other, but as a family. Once upon a time, life wasn't so simple.
